Aurangabad, Nov 6 (UNI) Eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 498 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Friday.
The region also witnessed nine fatalities during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Beed was the worst affected with 89 fresh cases and 4 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 108 new cases and 2 deaths, Jalna 97 cases and 1 death, Osmanabad 59 cases and one death, Nanded 51 cases and 1 death, Latur 59 cases, Parbhani 22 cases and Hingoli 13 cases.
Meanwhile, 5,246 more corona cases and 117 deaths were reported across the state. With this, the state's case tally reached 17.03 lakh.
While 11,277 cured patients discharged, the recoveries have reached 15.51 lakh with total 44,804 patients succumbing to the disease so far.
At present, 1.06 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centres in the state.
