Aurangabad, Oct 31 (UNI) The eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 481 new COVID-17 cases in the last 24 hours, authorities said on Saturday.
The region also witnessed 17 more corona-related deaths during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Jalna was the worst affected with 113 fresh cases and 4 fatalities, followed by Latur with 55 new cases and 4 deaths, Nanded 46 cases and 3 deaths, Beed 78 cases and 2 deaths, Osmanabad 41cases and two deaths, Aurangabad 117 cases one death, Parbhani 14 cases and one death and Hingoli 10 cases.
Meanwhile, 6190 more corona cases and 127 deaths were reported across the state during the same period of time. With this, the state's case tally reached 16.72 lakh.
While 8,203 cured patients were discharged taking the total up to 15.03 lakh, 43,837 patients have so far succumbed to the disease.
At present, 1.25 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centres, in the state.
