Aurangabad, Oct 15 (UNI) Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 103 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 fatalities during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Friday.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad reported the highest 16 new cases and 2 deaths, followed by Beed which had 21 cases and single death, Osmanabad had 36 cases ,Latur had 11 cases, Jalna had 10 cases, Hingoli had 4 cases,Nanded had two cases and Parbhani two cases,they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 2,383 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,86,280.
The state also registered 35 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,39,705..
Meanwhile,2,343 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,13,418 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.38 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 29,560 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
