Aurangabad, Nov 25 (UNI) The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 30 fresh cases of COVID-19 and a single death due to the virus during the past 24 hours, the health authorities informed on Thursday.
The district headquarters report stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Beed district was worst-affected with eight cases and a single death, followed by Aurangabad which also recorded eight cases but no death, Jalna recorded five cases, Latur four cases, Osmanabad district three cases, Nanded district had two cases and Hingoli and Parbhani recorded no cases, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 960 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,32,257.
The state also registered 41 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,807.
Meanwhile,1043 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,78,422, the recovery rate currently stands at 97.68 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 9,366 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centers and hospitals, the health authorities said.
