Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 28 (UNI) Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported at least 430 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in all the eight districts combined, authorities said on Wednesday.
The region also witnessed 15 more corona-related deaths during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad was the worst affected with 99 fresh cases and 5 fatalities, followed by Latur with 71 new cases and 3 deathsBeed 71 cases and 2 deaths, Nanded 66 cases and 2 deaths,Jalna with 34 cases with 2 deaths, Osmanabad 45 new cases and 1 death,Parbhani 27 cases and Hingoli 5 cases.
Meanwhile, 5,336 more corona cases and 115 deaths were reported across the state during the same period.
With this, the state's case tally mounted to 16.38 lakh.
While 7,836 cured patients were discharged taking the total up to 14.55 lakh and 43,463 have so far succumbed to the disease.
While at present, 1.31 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centers.
As per the present reports recovery rates crossed 90 percent across in the state .
