Marathwada region reports 1549 fresh COVID-19 cases, 22 fatalities

Aurangabad, Sep 24 (UNI) As many as 1549 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the Marathwada region during the past 24 hours, authorities said on Thursday.
The districts also registered 22 more fatalities during the same period.
According to the details data from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region Latur was the worst affected with 379 fresh cases and 6 fatalities, followed by Nanded with 245 new cases and five deaths, Aurangabad 329 new cases and 4 deaths, Parbhani 50 new cases and 4 deaths, Beed 197 cases and 2 deaths, Osmanbad 263 cases and 1 death, Jalna 62 cases and Hingoli 24 cases and one death, Data added.
Meanwhile, total 21029 fresh cases reported and 479 corona patients were succumbed in the state.
With this total toll of positive goes up to 12.63 lakh while 9.56 lakh were cured so far and 2.73 lakhs active patients were undergoing treatment, sources added.

Pune, Apr 23 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Bihar, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Assam and Meghalaya; at many places over Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.8°C was reported at Cuddapah (Rayalaseema) and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) over the country.
