Aurangabad, Nov 12 (UNI) Eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 439 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Thursday.
The region also witnessed eight fatalities during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts in the region, Beed was the worst affected with 119 fresh cases and 4 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 126 new cases and 1 death, Jalna 58 cases and single death, Osmanabad 30 cases and single death, Nanded 58 cases and single death, Latur 64 cases, Parbhani 18 cases and Hingoli 2 cases.
Meanwhile, 4,907 more corona cases and 125 deaths were reported across the state. With this, the state's case tally reached 17.31 lakh.
While 9,164 cured patients have been discharged, taking the total number of recoveries to 15.92 lakh.
Meanwhile, total 45,560 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.
At present, 88,070 patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centres in the state.
Overall cured percentage is gone up to 92 per cent and death ratio is at 2.65 percent across the state.
