Aurangabad/Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Maharashtra reported 2,135 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 12 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Wednesday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,37,181 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,080.
Meanwhile, 2,565 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,75,009 in the state.
The state's recovery rate currently stands at 97.98 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent.
Presently, 14,092 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the stae, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, the Marathwada region reported 93 new Covid cases and a single death,i ncluding 32 positive cases and one death in Aurangabad district, followed by 19 cases in Latur district, 18 cases in Beed district, 17 cases in Jalna district and 7 cases in Nanded district, while the remaining 3 districts did not report any new cases, the bulletin further added.
