Aurangabad, Nov 23 (UNI) The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 32 fresh Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Tuesday.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district was the worst-affected with 7 cases and three deaths , followed by Beed had 7 cases, Latur
had 5 cases, Parbhani, Osmanabad and Nanded had 4 cases each, Jalna district single case and Hingoli district nil, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 656 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,30,531.
The state also registered 8 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,747.
Meanwhile,768 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,76,450 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.67 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 9,687 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
