Osmanabad, Jul 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Thursday that the government has set up 131 laboratories across the state to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
Speaking after online inauguration of a Covid-19 testing laboratory set up at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Sub-centre here, he said that corona was not the first deadly virus experienced by the world, before that people all over the world had borne the brunt of other lethal viruses like HIV and swine flu.
"In early stages of outbreak of corona, we wasted our time by thinking we would overcome it. If we could have identified it then, we would have tried for vaccine research," he said and underscored the need for a continuous research.
