Marathwada region in Maharashtra registers 561 new COVID cases and 13 fatalities

Aurangabad, July 17(UNI)Altogether 516 fresh cases of novel coronavirus and 13 fatalities were reported across the eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra state on Friday, according to the official sources.
Reports from different district headquarters stated that, that Auranagabad district recorded 300 cases with 7 fatalities, followed by Jalna district with 80 cases and two deaths, Parbhani district reported 43 cases and two death, Osmanabad district 12 cases and one death, Nanded district 11 cases and one death, Latur district 44 cases, Beed district 15 cases and Hingoli district reported 11 cases.

With this the total number of positive cases has reached 14,063 in these districts with 555 deaths so far, they added.

Due to the rising numbers of cases in the region curfew has been imposed in several places across the region including Nanded, Aurangabad, Parbhani, Jalna, Latur, Osmanabad and others towns in region to break the chain of corona transmission.
