Mah: Aurangabad's COVID tally crosses 12k-mark

Aurangabad, Jul 23 (UNI) With 101 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hrs, Aurangabad's infection tally has shot up to 12,126, a health official said on Thursday.
Of the fresh cases, 80 are from urban area, 17 from rural and four at city entry points, the official added.
Meanwhile, three patients succumbed to the disease since Wednesday, pushing the district's death toll to 417, sources from district administration said, adding that so far 6,690 patients have been cured and discharged.
Fatalities include a 64-year-old man from Beed Bypass Road, who died at a private hospital in the city, a 70-year-old woman from Vanjarwadi and an 80-year-old man who passed away at another private hospital.
With that, currently, 5,019 patients are undergoing treatment in COVID centres across the district.
