Aurangabad, Oct 8 (UNI) At least 867 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours in the eight districts of the Marathwada region, authorities said on Thursday.
The districts also witnessed 40 more corona related deaths during the same period.
The details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region Beed was the worst affected with 137 fresh cases and 14 fatalities, followed by Latur with 174 new cases and 10 deaths, Nanded 209 cases and 7 deaths,Parbhani 80 new cases and 3 deaths, Aurangaad 120 cases with 2 deaths, Osmanabad 90 new cases and 2 deaths, Jalna 38 cases and 2 deaths and Hingoli 19 cases, the data added
Meanwhile, out of the total 14,578 cases reported so far in the state, 355 patients have succumbed to the virus.
At present, 2.44 lakh patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centers across the state.
