Aurangabad, Aug 10 (UNI) Aurangabad district's Coronavirus tally spiked to 16,827 after 74 fresh infections were recorded on Monday morning.
Of the fresh cases, 55 patients are from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation areas and 19 were from rural parts of the district, a district health official said.

Meanwhile, as many as five COVID-19 patients lost their lives to the virus, pushing the death toll to 554.

Those five fatalities include a 58-year-old woman from Naregaon, a 32-year-old woman from Garkheda, a 58-year-old man from Mukundwadi, a 62-year-old man from Beed Bypass and a 33-year-old man from Jay Bhavaninagar, they

So far, 12,346 have been cured/discharged from the hospitals.
The district currently has 3,927 active cases.
