Need to bring digital revolution in edu: Goa CM

Panaji, June 18 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday called for bringing in a digital revolution in the field of education in the state.
Speaking after paying tributes to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Goa from Portuguese rule, the chief minister said the syllabus to include coding and robotics as part of school curriculum for 6th standard students have been amended and work is on to include history of Goa in the history text books in state schools.
He appealed to teachers to take students to renovate Aguada Jail where freedom fighters were lodged for liberation of the state.

Pune, April 24(UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.5°C was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the country.
