Ahmednagar fire tragedy: toll reaches 11, Maha CM announces ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to kin of victims

Ahmednagar, Nov 6 (UNI) One more ptient of Covid-19, who had sustained burns in the Ahmednagar district hospital fire tragedy, succumbed during medical treatment here on Saturday evening, taking the overall number of casualties in this incident to 11.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced Ex-Gratia of Rs five lakh each to the kin of the deceased patients.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope assured that every possible help would be given to those who received burn injuries and were currently undergoing treatment.
The Chief Minister has already ordered a high-level inquiry into the fire incident.
BJP Leader of Opposition and former state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed deep shock over the tragedy and sent his condolences to the families of the victims.
