Eves power: House of people's to have eight women MPs from Maharashtra

Aurangabad, May 25 (UNI) Eight woman Member of Parliament (MP) from different political parties across the Maharashtra state have won the general elections this time.

As per the results of 48 seats declared on May 23 -- five female MPs from Bhartiya Janata Party, one from BJPs ally Shiv Sena, NCP one and one Independent candidate are slated to enter the Lok Sabha.

Dr Pritam Munde-Khade(Beed) daughter of late Gopinath Munde, Dr Heena Gavit(Nandurbar) daughter of former state minister Dr Vijaykumar Gavit, Poonam Mahajan (Mumbai) daughter of late Pramod Mahajan, Raksha Khadse(Raver) daugther-in-law of former minister Eknath Khadse and Bharti Pawar (Dindiri) daughter of former MLA A T Pawar are the five parliamentarians selected on BJP seat.

Bhavana Gavali, daughter of former Shiv Sena MP Pundalik Gavali won the elections from Vidharbha Washim on Shiv Sena ticket while NCP chief Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule was winner form Baramati.

Navinit Rana wife MLA Ravi Rana was elected as an independent candidate from Amravati.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
