Proper utilisation of available land, water resources essential for sustainable development of Maha: Gadakh

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jan 11 (UNI) Maharashtra can achieve the sustainable development with proper utilisation of available land and water resources, which will benefit the agricultural sector and alternatively the farmers, said Minister of Soil and Water Conservation Shankarrao Gadakh on Monday.
Speaking after inaugurating a two-day workshop on 'Soil and Water Conservation, Employment Guarantee Scheme and Our People' here at the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI), he said that to achieve the goal of sustainable development, conservation of land and water is necessary.
For this, the WALMI can impart training to the farmers, he said and pointed that it should train and guide the farmers on how to make use of available land and water resources wisely.
