Ramrajya is best example of governance: Baghel

Pune Sep 15 (UNI) Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State for Law and Justice, here on Thursday praised the efforts by MIT World Peace University, MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG) to organise the 12th edition of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS) - Indian Student Parliament).
“Contemporary politics is undergoing transformation and students should aspire for quality education. Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad is playing an important role in creating the future leadership,” Baghel said while presiding over the function as its Chief Guest. He also expressed his wish to restart conducting student elections in universities and also requested MIT WPU to give a thought on this.
The three-day event of BCS was inaugurated in the august presence of UNESCO Chair Holder Revered Prof Dr Vishwanath D Karad, Founder and Chief Patron, MAEER’s MIT, Pune and President, MIT World Peace University; Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MAEER, MIT World Peace University and Chief Initiator, MIT-SOG; Dr Kailasavadivoo Sivan, Former Chairperson, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO); Padma Bhushan Dr Anil Prakash Joshi, Environmentalist, Founder, Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organisation (HESCO); Anant Singhania, CEO, J.K. Group of Industries and President, IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Smt Kaushiki Chakraborty, Noted Classical Vocalist; Prof Sharadchandra Darade-Patil, Dean, MIT along with Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel.

Day temp above normal at many places over Sub-Himalayan

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
