Restricted areas of Radhanagari sanctuary to be raised upto Sindhudurg district

Kolhapur, Oct 23 (UNI) With notification issued by ministry of environment, forests and climate change to announce total 41 villages in Kolhapur and Sindhudurg district alongwith Radhanagari wildlife sanctuary as eco-sensitive zone, the restricted areas of Radhanagari sanctuary has extended now upto Sindhudurg district.
According to Samadhan Chavan, ranger of Sahyadri Tiger project, who gave this information, said with this new notifications total 25,065.88 hector additional areas now restricted in which total 18,897.94 hector areas as jungle while 6,177.94 hector land as out of jungle area.
As per notification, which published in gazette on 15, October,2020, villages in 200 to 6.01 KM areas from four sides of border of Radhanagari sanctuary has been preserved for wildlife growth.

26/11 incident should be part of history books : Rajendra Kapote

Pune, Nov 30 (UNI) The Mumbai 26/11 terror attack should be included in history books for the knowledge of students, Rajendra Kapote, State president of police Mitra Sanghatna (Friend of police), demanded on Monday.
Mr Kapote said that the numbers of innocent persons, police officers, police personnel had sacrificed their lives in fighting with terrorists who had attacked the city in 2008.
He said the whole world is known about the incident today, but it should be made compulsory to bring the incidence to history books for the future generations.
Mr Kapote, who distributed mask and senitizers to numbers of police personnel, here at a function which was organised at Bal Gandharva auditorium, has requested the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray through an letter on behalf of his organisation to include the whole incidence of 26/11 in the history book.
