Mumbai, Nov 20 (UNI) As the voting for the single-phase Maharashtra Assembly election 2024 ends on Wednesday, the pollsters have predicted the winner in the closely contested polls in the state.
They have predicted a neck-to-neck fight between the ruling MahaYuti and opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) camps in the current Maharashtra assembly elections.
A fierce battle has been predicted in the state between the MVA and the Mahayuti alliance. MVA consists of Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (UBT) and the MahaYuti consists of BJP, NCP (Ajit Pawar) and Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde.
According to P-MARQ (Politique Marquer) exit poll, the ruling MahaYuti may get 137-157 seats while opposition MVA may get seats between 126 and 146.
The overall voter turnout in the state has been over 58 percent till 5 pm. Gadchiroli had the highest voter turnout of over 60 percent.
The exit poll results predict the number of seats which all the parties will be able to clinch in the state and will give an idea of which alliance will be able to form the government in the state.
However, the final numbers will be out only on November 23, when the Election Commission will announce the results.
