Youth Congress demand quashing of exams in Maha

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 30 (UNI) A delegation of the Maharashtra Youth Congress on Thursday met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari demanding to cancel the examinations in the state made mandatory by the University Grants Commission (UGC) amidst Covid-19 pandemic.
An official statement issued by MPCC stated that the delegation, headed by president Satyajeet Tambe, met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai and held discussion on several points in regard to corona pandemic and the safety of students, their families, teaching fraternity and non-teaching staff.
Besides cancellation of examinations, the Youth Congress demanded that the semester results should be calculated using a pre-agreed upon formula, which assigns aggregate marks to students based on their performance in previous semesters.
