Maha: Development Works Worth Rs ₹166 Cr Approved for Nashik Kumbh Mela

Nashik, May 31 (UNI) Ahead of the upcoming Kumbh Mela scheduled to be held in Nashik, infrastructure development works worth staggering Rs ₹166 crores have been approved.
Specifically, 35 distinct types of projects will be implemented, primarily including the construction of river ghats, link roads, ring roads, and water treatment plants; the installation of CCTV systems; bridge construction; the development of stormwater drainage systems; the laying of electrical lines and optical fiber cables; and the augmentation of water supply infrastructure.
In view of the Kumbh Mela, Nashik's existing infrastructure—including water supply, solid waste management, healthcare facilities, power supply, and security systems—is expected to face immense pressure. To address this, proposals for 45 infrastructure projects—to be executed in two phases—were submitted to the State Government by the Public Works Department (North), Kumbh Mela Division, covering the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar route, the Gujarat State Highway and Peth taluka.
