We want to complete projects planned under Gati Shakti National Master Plan by 2024-25: Nitin Gadkari

Panaji, Nov 1 (UNI) Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday said that the central government wanted to complete projects planned under Gati Shakti National Master Plan by 2024-25.
'First department is road transport and highways. Currently, We have 1.42 lakh km of National Highway network and we want to extend it to two lakh kilometers before 2025,' he said, while speaking to industrialists here.
He said the second important thing in the master plan is 4-lane or 6-lane of 5,590 kilometers of National Highway along Coastal areas while the third important thing was connecting all North-eastern region states and capital with 4-lane National Highways or with two alternate arrangements of 2-lane highways.
