Navi Mumbai Police bust inter-state racket in resale of used handgloves, 5 held

Thane, Sep 2 (UNI) With the arrest of as many as five persons, the Navi Mumbai police today claimed to have burst an interstate mega racket of refurbish and resale of used hand glows during this pandemic the police said today.

The Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar addressing a news conference in Navi Mumbai today said that the police seized refurbished and repacked hand glows and accessories used for the same totally valued at around Rs. 50.10 lakhs he said. He also said that the police were on the lookout of the couple of more accused who were involved in the mega racket in which the used hand gloves were sources from hospitals around the country, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Cochin.

Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has collected approximately Rs 3.5 crore in fine from more than 1.6 lakh people who were allegedly found violating face mask norms between April 20 to October 29 this year, the civic body said on Saturday.
