Three SGB employees booked for duping MSEDCL of over Rs 49L

Thane, Nov 12 (UNI) Three employees of the Security Guards Board(SGB) have been booked here for allegedly forging wage bills and duping MSEDCL of Rs over Rs 49 lakh, the Shrinagar Police said.
The trio accused have been identified as Sambaji Mahadev Wankhede, Makarand Uttam Jamadar and Sandeep Suresh Ambre.
According to police, the fraud took place in the year 2016 when the accused produced wage bills for ghost security guards, inflated the payment amount of already employed guards and intimidated the concerned officials to sanction the bills.
