Shirala police books 65 staff of cooperative bank for misappropriation of Rs 30.78 cr

Sangli, Maharashtra, Oct 14 (UNI) The Shirala police on Wednesday booked a total of 65 persons including Chairman, Directors, Chief Officer, employees of 'Sarjerao Dada Shirala cooperative Bank, Shirala of this district for misappropriation of Rs 30.78 crore with preparing bogus loan cases and took cash from farm loans and vehicle loans with violating rules.
After auditing of the bank, the supervision of district registrar, special auditor Anil Sachhidanand Pailwan, disclosed this huge amount misdeed of Rs 30.78 crore during April 2,2011 to February 2020, in which chairman and director boards, employees involved in giving bogus loan proposals without any approvals and took cash amount from fix deposits and different loans with misleading to bank's members.
On this, Mr Pailwan rushed to Shirala police station and registered complaint against 65 persons including chairman, director boards and employees.
