Pune Police slap MCOCA against notorious criminal Karthik Ingwale, his gang

Pune, Jan 18 (UNI) City police commissioner Ritesh Kumar on Wednesday invoked the provisions of stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against arrested notorious criminal Kartik Ingwale and his gang for allegedly firing at a motorbike-borne youth who refused to pay them Rs 600 last month.
On December 16, 2022, the youth was riding a bike and the gang members forced him to stop and demanded Rs 600 in cash from him. When he refused, the gang members chased him and fired at the young man at Vetal Bua chowk in Ramnagar area of the city, police said.
Following the incident, a first information report under sections 341, 387, 307, 506, 506(2) of Indian Penal Code as well as the Arms Act was registered at the Warje Malwadi police station against four people, police said.
