Notorious criminal from UP carrying reward of Rs 2.50 lakh arrested in Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 5 (UNI) The city Crime Branch has arrested a notorious criminal who carried a reward of Rs 2.50 lakh on his head and was wanted in connection with several major crimes in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi.
According to an official, accused Aashu, alias Praveen, alias Akash Rajendra Singh (32), is considered a key member of the dreaded Mirchi Gang of western UP, who had allegedly killed a local BJP leader Rakesh Sharma at Dhaulana (Hapur district) in September 2019.
He was also involved in gunning down a prominent Noida-based industrialist Gaurav Chandel on January 6 of this year.
