Mah: 15 BJP members booked for violating curfew orders in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Aug 7 (UNI) About 15 BJP office bearers, including its Aurangabad part president Sanjay Kenekar, have been booked for violating the curfew orders in this Marathwada district, police said on Friday.
"They violated the curfew by organising celebrations in Gulmandi on the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony at Ram Janambhoomi pujan complex in Ayodhya on August 5," a senior police official said.
It was a clear violation of the order issued by the Commissioner of Police under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in the district ahead of the temple event in Uttar Pradesh to ensure no gatherings take place here to prevent any untoward incident that may disturb the peace and harmony or shoot up coronavirus infection cases.
