Three girls, teacher arrested for ragging

Nanded, Sep 16 (UNI) In the case of ragging a girl student occurred at the hostel of Govindrao Paul Nursing School, located close to the Hadgaon town, the police lodged an FIR against the three accused girl students and a teacher, and arrested the accused,today.
An incident of ragging a girl student, belong to the Scheduled Caste category, occurred on September 12 mid-night but it was managed that the matter should not come to core but after raising the voice by father of the victim girl the police filed a case against three accused girl students and an accused teacher Bhagirath Shinde under section 154 of the Indian Penal Code and various sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Atrocity (Prevention) Act.
On the day of the incident the accused three girls came to the room of the victim girl and asked her to remove cloth, rub the nose on the floor and clean up the room. The victim took the matter to a teacher Bhagirath Uttamrao Shinde but instead of supporting her he allegedly touched her with bad intentions and stated that she belonged to a downtrodden family and threatened to lose her career. The matter was reported to the father of the victim girl on which, the next morning, he removed her from the college by getting a transfer certificate. He approached the police station and lodged a complaint on Tuesday (September 14). Some girl students supporting the accused teacher said to the police that the teacher had no hand in the incident but the sub divisional police officer Rajiv Ranjankar refused to stop the process of action. As per the father of the victim girl, some girls were asked to dance in front of the Ganesh Idol installed during the current Ganesh festival.
