Maha Govt cancels global tender for Dharavi redevelopment

Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) In a significant development, the Maharashtra government on Thursday announced it has cancelled the process of inviting global tenders, initiated in Oct 2018, for the ambitious redevelopment of Dharavi, which is Asia’s largest slum pocket, in the heart of the country’s commercial capital.
A decision to this effect was taken in a state cabinet meeting Thursday.
The cabinet also gave its nod to invite fresh tenders for the same.
