Pune, Jan 23 (UNI) District collector and Election officer, Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, on Monday directed officials to implement innovative activities for voter awareness in the Kasba and Chinchwad assembly constituencies, where the by-elections are scheduled to be held next month.
Also, special attention should be paid to strict implementation of model code of conduct during the election period, he said while speaking at a meeting held at the collector's office here to review preparations for the by-elections in the two constituencies.
He further said that voter awareness programmes should be organised at various places in these constituencies.
