Through 'Vikel to Pickel', farmers sell agri produce directly to consumers in Nashik

Nashik, Sep 20 (UNI) The 'Vikel to Pickel' is a small experiment and if successful in Malegaon taluka, it will be implemented across entire Maharashtra, said state Agriculture Minister Dadaji Bhuse on Sunday.
Speaking after inaugurating vegetable and fruit selling centres at 13 places in Malegaon -- an initiative of the Department of Agriculture, he said as part of the concept of 'Vikel to Pickel', vegetables from farmers' fields in Malegaon taluka are being made available directly to consumers at 13 different places in the city.
The minister further said that farmers will get two paise more through 'Vikel te Pikel' and pointed that this was aimed at the overall progress of the farmers.
