IMA members protest against step-motherly treatment

Nanded, Sep 12 (UNI) The members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Saturday staged a protest over alleged step-motherly treatment from the government and burnt copies of their registration certificates in front of the collectorate here.
They alleged that some leaders were defaming the doctors causing depression amongst them, which may lead 25,000 hospitals in the state in financial crisis.
In a petition to the collector, president of Nanded unit of IMA Dr Suresh Kadam raised various demands including to withdraw the conditions which may bring the hospitals in economic crisis, to declare new rates which can be affordable to the patients, not to deploy auditors on the hospitals, to make the PPE kits and masks available at the reasonable rates, to protect the doctors from the anti-social elements, not to treat the doctors like criminals, to release the pending bills of hospitals due under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya scheme and others.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
