Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Jul 18 (UNI) Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has directed all the shop owner across the city to obtain Covid-19 test negative certificate from civic health administration before opening their shops on Sunday.
As nine-days 'Jantha curfew' is scheduled to end on Saturday midnight, Astik Kumar Pandey held discussion with office bearers of all trade association of the city on Friday night and clarified about the AMC decision to prevent spread of contagious disease in city after the lockdown. If anybody not obtain test certificate, then they will not allowed to open their establishments, Mr Pandey said.
As a result it is mandatory for the shop owners selling vegetables, fruits, milk, chicken-mutton and grocery to obtain Covid negative certificate before dateline otherwise AMC would take penal action against them or file criminal offences, he said.
AMC, along with police, are already guarding at 200 check points in city. The civic body has deployed its 400 personnel at these points. Hence, the screening and testing of traders has been arranged at these points where the medical officer will issued certificate on the spot to traders, he added.
