Nine-day lockdown begins with spontaneous response

Sangli, Jul 23 (UNI) Considering rapidly increasing corona epidemic in the district, a nine days lockdown which began from this morning, received spontaneous response from the peoples with remained closed all business activities, markets, shops in the city , Municipal council areas and Nagar panchayat areas of the district however a 'Janata curfew' was in force in rural areas of the district.
All roads in the city as well as Municipal council and in Nagar panchayat areas , observed silence following deserting by the peoples and also all vehicle traffic totally stranded.
On July 20 , district guardian minister Jayant Patil had announced a nine days lockdown in Corporation, Muncipal council areas and Nagarpanchayat areas from 2200 hours of July 22 to 30, while had appealed to peoples of remaining rural areas to observe a 'Janata curfew' during the same period, to check corona viras in the district.
