Panaji, Oct 12 (UNI) Highlighting the State Governments commitment to delivering Government of India e-Services to rural and remote locations where availability of computers and internet was negligible or mostly absent through Common Service Centres (CSC), Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant made a visit to the CSC at Velguem village in Bicholim Taluka recently.
Avdhut Dhond, the Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE), explained to the Chief Minister about the facilities and the number of transactions completed in the last two years.
Mr Dhond started the CSC at Velguem, Bicholim, in October 2018. The Chief Minister was appreciative of the fact that the CSC has so far delivered nearly 3,000 plus services to the people under state and central government schemes and programs such as Jeevan Praman (Life Certificate), National Pension Scheme, Income Tax Returns, PAN Card, PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Praman Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan, Diginame, Indian Railways ticket booking etc.
