Three tourists drown, five missing in Shiroda Velagar sea tragedy

Kolhapur/Sindhudurg, Oct 3 (UNI) A family outing turned tragic today evening when eight tourists from Belgaum, Karnataka, were swept away by strong waves while bathing in the sea at Shiroda Velagar in Sindhudurg district.
Police said three bodies have been recovered so far, while five others remain missing. One teenage girl was rescued safely.
According to officials, the group had ventured into the water near Velagar Suruchi Baug when they were pulled away by the rough tide. Local fishermen and lifeguards immediately launched a rescue operation, managing to save one and recover three victims, but efforts continue to trace the remaining five.

Court adjourns Rahul Gandhi defamation case to December 6

Pune Nov 15 (UNI) While winter chill is knocking the door the environment at the Kharadi campus of Dhole Patil Education Society witnessed the rise in the temperature and energies resulting in the creation of an all new Guinness World Records, achievement for ‘Largest Audience at a Campfire storytelling’. 4,623 individuals including the students and their parents participated to set a new Guinness World Records feat while listening to the historical stories about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj alongside the specially created campfire at the record attempt venue.
