BWF World Tour Finals: Sindhu, Srikanth suffer back-to-back losses

BWF World Tour Finals: Sindhu, Srikanth suffer back-to-back losses

Bangkok, Jan 28 (UNI) Ace Indian shuttlers P V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth suffered back-to-back defeats in the BWF World Tour Finals after losing their respective second round matches, here on Thursday.
Reigning world champion Sindhu lost 21-18, 21-13 to Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon in her second match of the tournament.
Having lost both her matches in the ongoing World Tour Finals, Sindhu's chances of making the semi-finals look slim. Even if she wins her third match against Pornpawee Chochuwong, her progress will depend heavily on other results.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth lost his men's singles Group B match 21-19, 9-21, 19-21 to Chinese Taipei's Wang Tzu Wei.
The loss against Tzu Wei virtually knocks Srikanth out of the contention to make it to the semi-finals. He will play his final group match against Hong Kong’s NG Ka Long Angus on Friday.
