Lucknow, Oct 21(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced to distribute steel plates and glasses to the students of government schools this ' Dhanteras' on October 28. Officials here said today that around 1.25 crore children studying in grade one to eight in government and aided schools would get a set of steel plate and glass to have their Midday meal. The government would be spending around Rs 115 crore under the scheme in which each set would cost around Rs 113 per head. While the CM would launch the scheme in Lucknow on October 28 by distributing the gifts, the officials and political leaders would do the same in tehsils the same day, officials said. According to sources, three companies from Moradabad, Noida and Lucknow have been selected to supply the utensils. UNI MB SHS SB 1130
