Jammu, Sept 19 (UNI) A team of National Investigation Agency today arrested two persons from city outskirts here in alleged terror funding case. ‘’Two persons namely Zahoor Ahmed Peer and Nazir Ahmed Peer, both residents of Wahama, Kupwara, were arrested today from Jammu for their involvement terror funding case,’’ official sources here said. They said that on July 25, 2017, NIA arrested a Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist from Handwara, J&K. Sources said that a large quantity of incriminating material, including arms and ammunition were recovered from Bahadur Ali and as per the investigation, the accused persons, Zahoor Ahmed Peer and Nazir Ahmed Peer provided material and logistic support to Bahadur Ali soon after his infiltration into Indian territory. ‘’The case against Bahadur Ali has been charge sheeted whereas further investigation in the case was in progress,’’ they said and added that during further investigation, the role of Zahoor Ahmed Peer and Nazir Ahmed Peer surfaced following which they have been arrested. ‘’NIA will be seeking the transit remand of these accused persons and will shift them to Delhi for further questioning,’’ they added. Earlier on September 7, NIA raided the house of one of the close aides of Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah here. The team raided the house of Mohammad Razak, resident of Gurah Brahmana, Bantalab Jammu. On July 30, NIA team raided the house of an advocate cum businessman Dalvinder Singh Behl here in Jammu for his alleged links with the Separatists and money laundering. Behl was also running a body as chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum and believed to be close aide of separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani and was associated with Hurriyat Conference till 2008. On June 4, NIA raided the shop and residence of two local businessmen at Nehru Market and Gandhi Nagar areas here in terror funding. UNI VBH PY 2204
