Modi could not answer Rahul’s questions: Narayanasamy

Puducherry, Dec 11 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayansamy on Monday said that prime minister Narendra Modi could not answer the questions posed by Rahul Gandhi.

Talking to mediapersons after celebrating Rahul becoming the AICC president, Mr Narayanasamy said "Congress party has been infused with a new blood with Rahul becoming AICC president. A few elections coming shortly will be a challenge and the Congress will have a landslide victory in the 2019 Parliament elections and Raul will become the Prime Minister."

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not answer the questions posed by Mr Gandhi during the Gujarat assembly election campaign," he said, adding that the Congress party will win majority of the 89 constituencies where elections were held in the first phase. Poll surveys revealed that with the support of Patel community, the Congress will also win the majority seats in the 189 constituencies. Due to the adverse impact of GST, BJP suffered a setback, he said, adding that the people started thinking that an alternate government alone could protect the country, he added.

In an apparent reference to the statement of H Raja that the Congress is instigating people against the Lt.Governor, Narayanasmay said that congress will directly oppose any one if needed and directly support if needed.Welfare schemes are being delayed due to the activities of the Lt.Governor and that’s why the people are agitating against her, he said.

He charged that the Lt.Governor is not respecting law.Taking powers of her own by the Lt.Governor could not be accepted,he said adding that soon a judgement in the case filed by the Aam Aadmi party in the Delhi high court in respect of the powers of a Lt.Governor will be given.During the argument in the case the judge observed that the Lt.Governor do not have any right to intervene into the day to day affairs of the government,Mr Narayansamy said.

Whenever the Lt.Governor go for an inspection, the government should be informed of this through the chief secretary and she should go with the ministers and legislators .However,in Puducherry Kiran Bedi is visiting without intimating the government,he charged. In case of any incident during such visits the government will not be responsible. If prior intimation was given adequate security would be arranged,he said.
