Day 2: Pak fires unprovoked on LoC, Indian Army retaliates

Jammu, Oct 13 (UNI) Pakistan yet again violated the truce agreement by firing unprovoked on Friday on the second consecutive day on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars this morning from 0745 hrs in KG sector along the Line of Control (LC)," defence spokesman here said. He said that Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively. "Firing is still on while no injury has been reported so far," he said. Yesterday, a jawan and a porter attained martyrdom while six others were injured in cross-border firing in KG sector of Poonch. UNI VBH SV 0954
