Civil war on ideology has erupted in country:Azad

Lucknow, Sept 13 (UNI) Congress leaders today attacked the BJP with alleging that civil war like situation on ideology has emerged in the country. Uttar Pradesh Congress president Raj Babbar and party's national general secretary, Gulam Nabi Azad, who is also incharge of the Party affairs here in UP, both have reminded their own Party workers about life and achievement of former prime minister Indira Gandhi and also acquaint her contribution to nation building to mark her birth centenary celebration. Highlighting the contribution of former prime minister and her sacrifice for the nation, Azad while speaking at a seminar organised by the Party to celebrate birth centenary of Indira Gandhi said that the country is facing 'war’ like situation but not with Pakistan or China but over 'Thought or Ideology”. "War process between two type of thoughts were going in the country, one in which the Parties fighting to save the social fabric of the country and other who were making politics of division and just promoting the Party at the cost of the country”, Mr Azad said. Congress general secretary also took a jibe on Narendra Modi claiming that the Prime Minister is changing five to six clothes when in India and five suits per day when on foreign tours. "It is very difficult for a rich man to sacrifice his comfort and work for the country instead of a poor thinking it big", asserted Azad while making an indirect attack on Narendra Modi. "Leaders like Moti Lal Nehra, Mahatama Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru and otherd were having huge wealth that they could enjoy all comfort during British regime but for freedom of the country, they left lavish life and fought on road and also spent several years in jail to ensure that the countrymen could breath freely after Independence”, claimed Mr Azad while adding that the government at present is distorting history and appraising the wrong fact about those great leaders who live and die for this country. Raj Babbar too attacked the Central Government and claimed that his Party support 'Desh Bhakt' and not 'Rastra Bhakt’. "We have series of leaders who laid down their live in the freedom struggle or prime ministers like Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, who were true Desh Bhakt and had sacrificed life for the country but now a new Rastra Bhakt had come up who had praises for a particular leader and indulged in dividing the society by attacking all those who had different opinion”, pointed Babbar while attacking the BJP leaders on new definition of 'Nationality'. Several other leaders too addressed the gathering in presence of Mohsina Kidwai, Sanjay Singh ,Pramod Tiwari. However the programme was disrupted when the supporters of P L Punia raised slogans creating problems for the leaders to make their speech. UNI MB PY1956
