New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) After failing the Dope test, Rio-bound wrestler Narsingh Yadav (74 kg) today defended himself, terming the development as a 'conspiracy'. "This is a conspiracy against me. It was my dream to represent India in the Olympics," the 26-year-old told mediapersons here. The Sports Ministry confirmed in the morning that a wrestler had failed the dope test, who booked an Olympic quota by winning a Bronze medal in the World Wrestling Championship in September last year. "One wrestler has been detected by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) as dope positive. An Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) has been constituted by NADA to hear the case. Its first hearing was held yesterday, in which the wrestler was given an opportunity to defend himself," the ministry said in an official statement. "After the hearing, the panel asked NADA for further reports. After these are received, the panel will hold further hearing in the matter. ADDP is headed by a legal expert and includes doctors and sportspersons," it added. On July 5, the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) had conducted a random dope test on the Maharashtra grappler at the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) in Sonepat. The report of his 'A' sample test came out positive. Later, he was called for his 'B' sample test, which also returned positive. UNI GAU RJ 1524
