UP women hockey trials on Oct 1, 2 for nationals

Lucknow, Sep 27 (UNI) The 11th National Hockey championship for women would be held in Jhansi from October 21 to 31 next.
Hockey UP general secretary and Olympian Dr R P Singh said in a statement here on Monday that trials for the UP team which will participate in the national would be held on October 1 and 2 at Vijayant Khand stadium, Gomti Nagar in Lucknow.
He said that 25 women players would be selected in the trials who will be given special training in Lucknow from October 6 to 20. The final team would be selected in the final trials, he added.
