LLC: Urbanrisers Hyderabad carve out 14-run win over Southern Superstars

Ranchi, Nov 21 (UNI) A disciplined bowling attack enabled Urbanrisers Hyderabad successfully defend a slender total of 157 as Southern Superstars were skittled out for 143 in the third match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) being played at the JSCA International Stadium on Tuesday.
Earlier, Southern Superstars skipper Ross Taylor won the toss and decided to field first. Opening bowlers – Abdur Razzak and Suranga Lakmal proved the decision right with a tight bowling spell. For Urbanisers, Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill tried to accelerate the run flow by clobbering Pawan Negi for 20 runs in his first over.
Razzaq showed his experience later by dismissing Smith (15) and Gurkeerat Singh Mann (0) on consecutive balls as Urbanisers was reduced to 50/2. At the team score of 73 in the tenth over, Hamid Hassan provided much relief to his camp when he accounted for the dangerous looking Guptill (46 runs off 28 balls).
