Sanjay Bangar, Ashish Nehra back Rishabh Pant to replace MS Dhoni in Team India

Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) Former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar and former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra have backed Rishabh Pant to take over the wicketkeeping reins from former captain MS Dhoni.
MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in mid-August but Indian team has still not settled on his successor. Pant leads the race and has been seen as the first-choice across formats but his uneven form with the bat and mistakes behind the stumps mean he still hasn’t cemented the spot.
However, playing for Delhi Capitals in the ongoing IPL in UAE, Pant has shown great maturity and been one of the most consistent performers for the team. He has so far produced scores of 31, 37*, 28, 38, 37 runs respectively for the Delhi Capitals.
