Indian Railways carries more passengers in a day than Aus-NZ combined

Bengaluru, Nov 6 (UNI) Indian Railways has made history by carrying more passengers in a single day than the combined population of Australia and New Zealand.
On Monday, a record 3 crore passengers boarded trains, making it the highest number of passengers ever transported in a single day this year.
Between October 1 and November 5, Indian Railways facilitated travel for 65 lakh passengers through special trains. During this period, approximately 7.5 crore passengers were carried to Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, highlighting the scale of the operation.
